The Alma Community Emergency Squad (ACES) Program Launch
We all know that being prepared for an emergency is important, but sometimes preparing seems overwhelming. Where should you start? Well, we have some good news for you. Emergency preparation isn't that hard. In fact, it can even be fun! Additionally, preparing can be a great way to meet neighbors and get involved in your community. Join the Alma Community Emergency Squad launch as we embark on a journey of fun, community building, and self-empowerment. By the time we finish, you'll have made some new friends and learned how to better prepare yourself, your family, and your neighborhood for emergencies.
The initial training for the program consists of six classes, which will be taught virtually via Zoom. All of these wonderful classes are available to members of our community for free! The classes are brought to you by members of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Team Program (NTP) and Community Emergency Response TEAM (CERT).
You do not have to take all classes; so you can focus on topics you are interested in, such as first aid, search and rescue, or communications. We do highly encourage everyone to at least attend the Personal and Family Preparedness class.
How do I get involved with the Alma Community Emergency Squad (ACES)?
